Exciting News from Hummingbird Paper Co.

I’m so excited to share that Hummingbird Paper Co. has received £500 in funding from the York & North Yorkshire Growth Hub. I pitched the idea at the first Innovation Supper event and was thrilled when it was announced as the winning concept.

The evening was filled with inspiring pitches from other local founders and lots of great conversations with business owners and supporters of innovation across the region. It was a real privilege to be part of it.

Hummingbird Paper Co. started as a passion project to help freelancers and agency creatives manage client work without relying on digital tools. It’s a luxury paper planner designed with a client-by-client layout to help reduce screen fatigue and bring more clarity and calm into the working day.

The idea behind it is simple. Build your dream planner. Start with a binder, choose the inserts that support your goals, and create a system that works the way your brain does. I believe creative professionals deserve tools that work with them, not against them, and this funding is going to help me take the next step toward making that vision a reality.

Thank you so much to Emma Rollason-Taylor and Brendan Paddison for hosting such a brilliant event and to Ann Gurnell for her pitching support and training. It made a huge difference.

And congratulations to the other founders who shared their brilliant ideas on the night. It was such a joy to hear about your work and to be in such good company.

There’s lots more to come as I move into the testing phase. If you’re someone who loves the feel of pen on paper and wants to plan your client work in a more meaningful way, I can’t wait to share what’s next.
